Make Up Trolls

I'm applying to a lot of jobs now, my most recent was with a cosmetic company and while I know that's a stretch I figured I'd send them the old portfolio anyway.  I got an email back and they were very nice at letting me know I wasn't the man for the job. I'm leaving names out but it was as follows:

"I wanted to reach out and say thank you for your interest. It's clear in review that your passion lies in illustration. I know you will be happier pursuing your true talent rather than designing lip gloss and eye cream. I did enjoy your portfolio & wanted to wish you well in your search. "

Like I said, really nice.  Anyway my girlfriend and I thought this was too good a opportunity to pass up so I sent them the quick sketch below with this reply.

"Thank you for your very kind and honest reply. I think that's really solid advice. Although, I do think having a man's touch could really broaden your product appeal. See attached for example. If you're ever thinking about getting into new markets give me a call. "

Thankfully she had a sense of humor and sent me a kind reply.  Enjoy your week everyone!

Face Off / The Fuzz

Another installment of the fuzz spliced with action posters

FATE

Here's a recent assignment in my Graphic Novel Part. 2 class.

The assignment: Create a storyline that the characters involved experience a gauntlet of emotions like love, fear, sadness, and so on  BUT.... you can only use the words "hello" and "goodbye" as text.

So I created a create your own adventure type layout much like a board game.  You choose the square and triangles fate.

Enjoy-
