The Fuzz Spliced Movie Poster part 2

Just released this guy as well-  The Fuzz  /  The Rock

Check it out- The Fuzz Episode 1

THe Fuzz / Die Hard

There's going to be a whole line of these coming up which I'm exited to be a part of.  Splicing action classics with Vuguru's new real life look at if Puppets lived among us and had a terrible addiction to Jelly Beans.  Seen from a puppet cops perspective and his close friend who finds himself on the other side of the tracks.  It's The Departed but fluffier.  It's Mean Streets but cuddlier.  Shield your tickle me Elmo's eyes because here comes THE FUZZ !!!!!!

watch it here-

The Shortest Story

From my graphic novel class-  Illustrate the shortest story in the world

" The last man on earth sat in a room alone.  There was a knock at the door."

This was rushed to get my homework in on time but I'd use it as a blueprint if I ever have the time to do it right.

Breaking Bad

This is a couple of days late but who cares.  We can all still taste the Blue Crystal Meth from the  finale of Breaking Bad.  No Spoilers here-  I entered a competition run by Cinespia to win tickets to the live showing they had at the Hollywood Cemetery.  The challenge was to get creative with recreating a scene/character/whatever from the show.  We had a mad dash towards the end but here's the result.  My girlfriend Jess did an amazing job with aging make-up.

Coyote Frog is Alive!

A few months ago a friend of mine, CC Pearce from the YouTube channel The Outside Joke, asked me to do some design work for him for a coyote frog creature aptly called "Coyote Frog."  Check one of my old posts for the flat work I did on it and check the link out here to the final ANIMATED product.  I'm over the moon right now.  Coyote Frog makes an appearance around 2:30 in the video.

Sketches

Another quick sketch on the side which ended up looking like a different star than I intended.  Stop reading here and take a guess if you like.

It's supposed to be Peter Lorre
but it ended up looking a bit like Clark Gable to me.  Obviously not as chiseled as he's normally portrayed but the upper lip merged with a thin pencil mustache that gable was known to sport.  Maybe I'm going a little batty after starring into Lorre's big eyes for too long.  Either way I'm trying to work out the kinks these days.  I'm gonna be doing a lot of drawing soon for a comic I'm working on the side for.  I'll update when I can to not give things away.

Then the second picture you see there is a poster of one of my favorites.  "M".  Where Peter Lorre plays a twisted murderer on the loose in Germany 1934.   We follow his story and that of the police that are after him.  Directed By Fritz Lang it's a black and white visual marvel through and through. We went to a screening the other night and I had to get a picture with this graphic masterpiece.  One day if I have it my way, a copy of this will hang in my man cave.

Get Loki

This was a concept a colleague of mine (Mr. Ben Holley) had at work and I executed.  A mash up of the Daft Punk Get Lucky album art and Marvels Thor and Loki rivalry. It was around the time we were coming up with a ton of ideas for YouTube's Geek Week but this one was sadly never picked up.
I'm happy with the way it came out though so I'm sharing it here-

I'll say in advance the photos I manipulated are not my own and this was to get ideas rolling.

Apocalypse MEOW

APOCALYPSE MEOW! A project at World of Heroes that never came to be.  I'll leave it at that, ask me about it if you want the back story.

Lincoln

Here's Lincoln with even more exaggerated features.  Always a good time drawing this guys face.

Twain

Quick sketch I did last Friday.  I had some fun exaggerating the original shapes and accenting using a light blue as my mid tone.  Didn't push the black very far to keep the white suit/white hair look Twain was famous for.

Marvelous Movie Shawarma

Here's a prop I made the other day for a show called MARVELOUS MOVIE SHAWARMA.  As in we're making "Post movie credit sequences kinda like the ones you see at the end of the marvel movies," but that didn't have the same ring to it.  Kind of a stretch but back to the art- I had about 2 or so hours to make this for the next day of shooting.  The premise was a bunch of execs would pitch to spiderman in the skeeziest kind of way, so I picked some of my favorite crazy looking villains as fodder to rif off of.  Mysterio, The Vulture, Stilt Man and a kitty cat for good measure.  Lots of sweat and hard work at the last minute to make all three which you can watch below

Labyrinth of Jareth

My lovely lady and I got to go to the Labyrinth of Jareth this year (yep just like the movie).  It's an annual event that features some of the wildest costumes you've ever seen, dancing, acrobats, and music. It's amazing.   Jess went as a Queen Bee, with what she thought was BIG hair until we ran into these two fashionable gents.  I went as a Demon and ended up looking like the bad guy from Princess and the Frog.  That's a Condor on my shoulder.

Star Wars Speed Dating

I ran into this guy on set the other day.  The video he's featured in just came out : STAR WARS SPEED DATING.  All the guys at WOH did a stellar job on this one.  I got to do a really basic Mickey Mouse in Flash who looks more like Steamboat Willie.

Pen and Ink Break

Taking a quick break and updating this thing.  There should be quite a few on the way.  Lots of side projects that are coming into existence.  Hope you enjoy this ink drawing of a rather unfortunate monster.

Nuclear Family

Here's some behind the scenes stuff from a title we worked on a while ago called Nuclear Family.  It starred Ray Wise at his most villainous.  It was made a year prior to me joining VUGURU and we were trying to breath new life into it with a fresh poster. It had very little key art and with that being said- here's my first attempt.

I know, I know, It looks a little too much like Super 8... but thankfully we then used it as a steeping stone to get to this-

This one was my favorite.  I would most likely add a few more elements but the general feeling is there.  In this round of edits it was decided to drop the vertical idea all together.

Here was my next attempt with a regular horizon line.  Just about the same but ultimately it was deemed  it looked too much like a pulp fiction novel.

This is the final product-  We were able to scrounge some pictures and produce a collage to hint at the apocalyptic world they live in.

The Outside Joke Logo

Here's a close up of the final logo I did for The Outside Joke in it's two forms. As a full banner or a thumbnail.  They should be coming out with a slew of new videos this month.

Super . Model_ Alternate Concept

I just found this in the archives.  It's was my original idea for a logo on the show "Super .  Model."  Check out what we ultimately went with in one of my previous posts.  Like I mentioned in the previous post, the show was about super models with super powers.  This was all right before we pulled the plug on the show all together.

Cocktails With Stan

This was a really fun show that deserved an equally fun logo.  I'll note I made it before the Larry King show came out that has a vey similar logo.  Check out all of the shows here -

Super . Model

This is now a very dead project that I made a logo for too long ago to remember.  The basic premise was going to be, you guessed it, super models with super powers.  I didn't have as much to do those days so I took a gamble and made this logo in my free time.  The idea was and tell me if it worked, if you said the show name out loud, you'd say "Super DOT Model."  I'm not sure if this very close to being final logo conveys everything I wanted it to.  Next time I'd put her in a different dress, and make her pose not so close to a  50's mom and pop burger joint.

Ghoul

Concept art I did for a friend of mine the title of which I won't mention to be on the safe side.

Cosplay Piano

We launched a show called Cosplay Piano 3 months ago and it features a very talented piano player named Sonya Belousova playing themes from movies and games.  I was asked to create about 8 cells to quickly flip through to not only tease the upcoming shows but use as a tittle sequence.  This was one of my favorites. We actually premiered with this video and it's based off of The Walking Dead.  Here's a Link

And here's the logo I made for it.  What do you think, is the backwards treble clef blasphemy?
And the video itself that features the lovely Sonya Belousova

Real Life Web Slingers

HEY KIDS!   IT'S REAL LIFE WEB SLINGERS!  Here's the cover art I made in a flurry at 2AM for  a series of STAN CO toys for Stan Lee's World of Heroes. I had to do a few more but this one stood out.  Another tight deadline.  If you have a dark sense of humor and a love for comic book characters check em' out here  - Seth Ylitalo-Ward

And here's the video

Green Screen Backgrounds

About a year ago, I was assigned to make a few backgrounds for a news related show that centered around comic books.  They would serve as a green screen backdrops we could cut to.  In the end we used the city scape a ton.  I wasn't as familiar as I am now with transferring my pencils and inked drawings  into Photoshop so all of these feel rougher than they should.  We were under a pretty tight deadline so I'm happy with them.

E Book

Here's a design I did about a month ago for an Ebook that's still in the development.  For that reason I had to black out the title and the authors name.  But their name would go on the bottom line in a bold, white, Sans Serif font.   It's the story of a run down cop whose new partner is a super hero.

Pixel Cycle

So I work for STAN LEE'S WORLD OF HEROES (check it out on youtube if you haven't already because we make some fun stuff and we really love what we do http://www.youtube.com/worldofheroes).   Every so often I get a really fun project to work on.  Here was one of them.  It's Stan Lee if he was in an old 8 bit game

We ultimately went with a orange shirt so you could see him on the pastel green a bit better.  He gets to run around in the background a lot like a plumber you might know...

Coyote Frog

Here's some work I recently did for The Outside Joke.  They're an awesome YouTube channel that's going to be coming out with a video pretty soon that features this guy.  His name's Coyote-Frog and I can't wait to see him animated.  Very simple movements like head turning, tail waging and as you can see here - eyeball blinking.  Enjoy
